Original Pair of Civil War Colonel's Epaulets

Here is a magnificent pair of original civil war era Epaulets in a lacquered black tin case. The epaulets are in wonderful condition with all of the bullion in great condition. The gold has a wonderful tone that is eye catching and contrasts nicely with the silver toned eagles, which denotes the rank on both pieces. Two small kepi sized shielded eagle buttons accent the overall look. As you can see from the images the attachments are still in place.
There is no damage noted on either piece and the tin case that these come in is in overall good condition and retains the handle and closure clasp.
