A very nice seated pose CDV of Union General William High Keim of Pennsylvania. On the reverse you will find the E&HT Anthony NY backmark.

General Keim was first a Republican member from Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives (1858-1859). Then from 1861-62, a general in the Union Army during the American Civil War where he attained the rank of major general in the state militia. He died in 1862 of typhus while in the military service at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
