Confederate $1000 Bond - Dated Jan 31st, 1863

Confederate $1000 Bond in overall good condition. The printed and written ink are easily read throughout the document. There are very few pinholes noted and the paper remains in good intact condition. No repairs or tears noted. On the revearse is a stamp dated November 1st, 1865 in a foreign language, which some believe indicates that this bond was ran through the blockade. Nonetheless, its a nice bond with great display appeal. It measures 13.5 x 14.5-inches.

Confederate $600 Bond - Richmond - Feb 25th, 1864

Here is a great looking Confederate Bond dated Feb 25th, 1864 out of Richmond, Va. It measures 8.5 by 13-inches. The printed and written ink is vivid and easily seen. It is made out to a Mrs. Ann E. Munford for $600.00 and will mature Jan of 1872. The bond was printed by J.T. Paterson & Co., Columbia, South Carolina and I think is a CR105 - Ball 138. The edges are crisp and I note no pinholes. There is a small rip (no loss of paper) along the raised seal. The reverse has the form that was filled out once the bond has matured and paid out. It is printed in red and outlines the procedure for payment. This is a really nice bond that would frame handsomely.

Confederate $1000.00 Bond Early 1861

CR8; B9:Type 6: Pg 35; Comprehensive Catalog & History of Confederate Bonds, Douglas Ball. This is a nicely framed $1000.00 Confederate Bond with all but three coupons still attached. The bond itself is in great shape with no major tears. There is one hole in the upper left hand corner, like a paper punch hole; and a repair of a tear on the top towards center right, which has been repaired with the original piece. There are three folds running up and down, like it had been tri-folded, two minor ones on the sides, the most distinct down the middle. The ink, signatures, and printing is bold and vivid. It is nicely framed with a green matte, which matches the presses ink. The bond number is 7056 and is dated May 1st, 1861 enacted at Montgomery and was thought to be printed by the American Bank Note Company branch of New Orleans. There were a total of 7,071 issued, with 7,161 printed. They were issued between May 1st - October 31st 1861 and were signed by Clitherall, Jones, and Tyler. The stock certificates were due September 1st, 1871, with total amount issued $6,674,200.

$10 Dollar Arkansas War Bond

Cool Arkansas $10 war bond with 5 coupons due Jan and July from 1864 through 1866. The edges are crisp with no pinholes noted. It is printed on yellow paper with red ink. Both the printed and written ink can be easily read and stands out nicely. It is made out to I. W. McConaughey, which I looked up and only found one person with the same last name in the 2nd Arkansas Infantry. It's about the size of a Confederate note and is a neat piece considering you rarely see anything out of Arkansas. Its just a bit larger than a large Confederate Note.
