Confederate 1-Dollar Note - Mechanics Savings & Loan, Ga
Confederate 1-Dollar Note from the Mechanics Savings & Loan of Savannah, Georgia dated 1864. This note is in circulated condition with the edges in good condition with one small fray on the lower right hand corner. The bill is faded somewhat, but still can be easily read. Its dated April 1st, 1864 and is signed and serial number in ink.
The reverse is really cool as this particular note was cut from a pre-war sheet of Georgia notes and you can see this when you flip the note over. It was cut in a way that you can see on the top note, and 1860 10-Dollar note which has the Georgia State Coat of Arms. On the bottom note you can see a dated 1860 5-Dollar Note with a Railroad Scene. The back has nice color and will display nicely.

This note was issued during the 'Faith of the State Pledged' series, which is printed in red across the center of the note. $10 Dollar Arkansas War Bond
Cool Arkansas $10 war bond with 5 coupons due Jan and July from 1864 through 1866. The edges are crisp with no pinholes noted. It is printed on yellow paper with red ink. Both the printed and written ink can be easily read and stands out nicely. It is made out to I. W. McConaughey, which I looked up and only found one person with the same last name in the 2nd Arkansas Infantry. It's about the size of a Confederate note and is a neat piece considering you rarely see anything out of Arkansas. Its just a bit larger than a large Confederate Note.
