M1809 Prussian Potsdam Cutdown
Item #: FDR21-077

M1809 Prussian Potsdam musket cut down to a 31inch barrel. The lockplate has a nice Crown/Potsdam stamp. The iron throughout has a nice dark attic patina with some pitting noted around the nipple from firing. The action is tight and works perfectly. The brass barrel bands are present. The barrel is marked 1816 on the breech.

The stock has two initials on the flat opposite of the lockplate. It also has a skull on the butt of the stock. The forestock is spliced with wood that matches very closely. This would be a great parts gun, for a young beginner collector, or wall hanger.
