A cool looking Allen & Thurber 6-shot pepperbox in working condition. The iron has a brighter gun metal gray tone with moderate pitting evenly scattered on the barrel and on the frame. You can still see hints of the engraving on the nipple shield and on both sides of the frame.

The 5-inch barrel is marked with 'Allen & Thurber' 'Worcester'. The hammer is marked 'Allen's Patent / 1845'. The action works perfectly with the barrel indexing correctly with every pull of the trigger. The walnut grips are in good condition with some finish still left.
