Here is a spectacular specimen of a Civil War US infantryman’s belt rig from the St. Louis maker Sickles. The non-dug US puppy-paw belt plate has a remarkable patina with little to no dings or mars noted. The two studs are present and is the adjustment hook. The leather is supple and can be displayed anyway you would like including on a mannequin or in the display case.

On the inside of the belt you can see the rectangular marking of the Sickle stamp. The belt has no repairs and is as close to unissued as you will find. I have had this one in my Western theater collection for years and I have replaced it with an identified version. The leather from tip to tip measures about 39.5inches.
