Item #: FDR16-032
Click on an image to enlarge

Here is a 6th Plate tintype of a couple of Union Soldiers seated next to each other. There is no identification. The image has no emulsions or creases noted. There is a slight rub at the lower portion of the image that is mentioned for exactness. The top half of the image appears to be faded or with a slight haze compared to the bottom of the image.

They sit in matching Federal Frock coats and kepis. The one is holding a musket from the floor with bayonet fixed which is either his buddies gun or a prop gun as he sits with his accoutrements on with bayonet visible at his side. The US buckles are easily seen as there is no gilding on the image.

The image comes in a complete union case which has a patriotic scene on the front. It clasps appropriately and is in overall good condition.
