6th Plate tintype of a Federal soldier standing with full pose in view. He has on his forage cap and four button sack coat. You can see the leather of his cartridge box with breast plate and his waist belt the buckles have been lightly gilded. The downside to the image is that there is considerable crazing noted the upside is that on the back of the image are two 5-cent tax revenue stamps, both dated as Sept 22nd 1864 and initialed by the photographer so at least we know the image was taken during the Civil War. There are no creases or waves noted on the image. It comes in a complete leatherette case the lid is separated.
