Dalton Show 2008

When the show started John didn't know where to start first! The Dalton show has grown both in size and popularity among dealers and collectors. This year saw another 100 tables added and surprisingly still enough room for the large crowd that was present on Saturday. This show has always been popular with dealers, however, what was exciting to see where the number of collectors that had driven or flown to be here. North Carolina, New Jersey, Illinois, Mississippi, and Missouri just to name a few. If you have not been to the Dalton show, you need to mark it on your calendars. This will have made our 10th year attending this show and our 6th as a dealer.

Thanks to everyone who attended and stopped by to say hi.

Dinner at the Dalton Depot is always a tradition.

John playing with the train at the Depot, this just moments before mommy somehow derailed the train to the horror of all the little kids standing around watching.

Nikki and myself with our Birge's Sharpshooter Display.

Bob Becker brought down his Civil War Sharpshooter display which includes several various weapons, with a few I'd to sharpshooter units.

This year we thought we would try to combine the two to create a mega-sharpshooter display and it worked out very well. Thank you to all of you who stopped by and commented. We had a great time displaying.

This year we were able to take home the 'Best of Show' award for our "Sharpshooters of the Civil War" display. We were very honored to take this award as there were many great displays this year and we were up against some stiff competition. We hope to fine tune this display and show it again.

And the ever dreadful drive home. This is coming down I-24 leaving Chattanooga with Lookout Mountain in the background. We had a great time and hope to see everyone next year!
