Here is one you don't see often. A M1840 Sheble & Fisher Cavalry Saber w/ scabbard. The blade is in good condition with no knicks or pitting noted. The 'Sheble & Fisher' markings are easily read and stand out on the ricasso. The brass has a nice dull attic tone showing through what appears to be remnants of gold paint, possibly from a GAR hall. The grip is original and tight. The leather washer is still present. The scabbard is in good condition and fits the sword very nicely.
