Here is a cool Mexican War era bayonet scabbard with M1816 Bayonet.

The scabbard measures approximately 18.75 inches from the throat to the tip of the brass scabbard tip. The leather is in good condition and the stitching is sold down the spine. It retains the two brass rivets which attached it to the baldric. There are no markings noted on the leather.

The bayonet that I've included with this is a nice M1816 bayonet. There is moderate pitting scattered evenly throughout. It has a nice pleasing dark patina throughout. It has a nice stamp US/WL on the face. The blade measures 16inches.

Cool piece overall and came out of the longtime collection of David Jarnigan.
